We would like to announce an exciting new cooperative effort between The Ohio State University Department of Athletics and Experience Columbus is underway…. Brutus On Parade!

Now, we need you! It is expected that there will be dozens of Brutus Statues on display (and hopefully MORE) throughout the Ohio State Main Campus starting in August of 2008. These statues need to be designed and decorated by someone like you that has a creative eye and the talent to transform these Brutus statues into something truly unforgettable.

We are inviting you to submit design(s) for the Brutus On Parade Statues. All design proposals must meet these very basic criteria: Designers who submit a design that is approved and whose design is selected by a sponsor will receive a $2,000.00 honorarium. Selected designers will also be recognized on the plaque that is permanently affixed to the base of the statute and in all marketing/promotional materials. Attached is a listing of just some of the ideas that have been generated for Brutus On Parade statues.


Your participation is simple! Sketch/color your design on the outlines that you download from the website. Present them as you would see them completed. (A photo of the actual mold of the Brutus is also on the website to give you a better idea of the scale and design.)

Provide a name for your design and briefly describe the materials you would use to complete the project.
